Premier Levi Eshkol declared in reply to a question in Parliament today that Israeli instructors training the Congolese army were in the Congo under agreement with the Congolese Government at the request of United Nations Secretary General U Thant.
The Premier added that the Israelis were not engaged in combat and that Israel did not intend to withdraw there before they had completed their tasks.
