Expanded immigration from the West is now urgent, Prime Minister Levi Eshkol told a rally last night marking the 20th anniversary of the Jewish Agency’s institute for youth leaders abroad. The Premier said that, although Israel could not compete with most Western nations in terms of affluence, he felt that Jewish youth in those countries, “motivated by idealism,” would respond to the challenge of Israel’s needs.
