Prime Minister Levi Eshkol announced today a major rebuilding program for the Arab village of Kalkilya, about seven miles northeast of Kfar Saba, which was almost totally levelled during heavy fighting in the Six-Day War. The village, dominating the highway and railroad line, was a Jordanian artillery strong point. In the battle to dislodge the Jordanian forces, the village suffered more destruction than any other Arab village or town.
