The largest and most elaborate park ever to be established in this city was opened here today at ceremonies marking the 70th birthday of the late Meir Dizengoff, first mayor of Tel Aviv and one of its founders, after whom the park is named. The formal opening of “Gan Meir,” “Meir’s Park,” was attended by the entire municipal council and representatives of the Palestine Government and Jewish institutions.
