A total of 68,000 pounds ($188,400) has been pledged so far toward the Tercentenary Fund for the endowment of university teaching posts in Jewish studies and the provision of appropriate training for Jewish youth leaders, it was announced here today. The fund, with a goal of 200,000 pounds ($560,000) has been established as a lasting memorial to this year’s celebration of the three hundredth anniversary of Jewish resettlement in the British Isles.
