V. Lansing Collins, Secretary of Princeton University, issued an announcement that an anonymous Jewish donor has established a scholarship fund of $12,000 at Princeton University, from which fund $1,000 a year will be awarded to each of three Princeton students, graduates of New Jersey high schools. Under the terms of the gift, one of the holders is to be of the Jewish faith, one a Protestant, and one a Catholic.
The donor has specified that the recipients shall make written acknowledgment of a moral obligation to repay to the University the funds received, if and when they are able. The money, when repaid, may be used by the University for scholarship purposes as it sees fit. This money shall be used only to defray the expenses of tuition and maintenance and will be awarded by the University to the three most meritorious candidates who otherwise would be unable to obtain an education at Princeton University without the assistance thus provided.
Applications for the scholarships must be received by Secretary Collins by May 1st.
