Memorial prayers for the 6,000,000 Jews murdered in Europe were recited yesterday at an impressive ceremony before Rachel’s Tomb, which is located midway between Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
The services, which were attended by leading members of the Jewish community, were presided over by Chief Rabbis Isaac Herzog and Ben Zion Usiel. An “eternal light” was lit, following which the entire assemblage chanted El Mole Rachmim.
