The German Law Academy has decided to replace the terms “Aryan,” “German-blooded” and “of German and cognate blood” in law texts with a new term, “Europe-racial,” the New York Times reported today from Berlin. The first two terms were not exact and the third was too long, an academic subcommittee reported, while the new term is held to come closest to the purport of the racial laws.
