The European General Zionist conference concluded here last night with the adoption of a series of resolutions pledging full support to the Government of Israel, pledging the conference to do everything possible to maintain unity within the General Zionist movement and endorsing in principle post ponement of the World Zionist Congress provided it is convened no later than May.
Barnett Janner, of London, was elected president of the Council and Joseph Sagall, chairman of the executive committee. The executive will be composed of 17 members from Europe and North Africa with the latter represented by two delegates and two seats reserved for dissidents if they wish to return.
