The Jews of Central and Eastern Europe look to Australia and New Zealand to present their case to the Paris Peace Conference, Dr. Maurice Perlzweig, head of the political department of the World Jewish Congress, declared here upon his arrival from New Zealand.
Pointing out that the two countries “spoke for humanity’s conscience at the San Francisco Conference,” Dr. Perlzweig asserted that he is “already assured of New Zealand’s sympathetic cooperation.” He announced that he is scheduled to see Australian Prime Minister Joseph B. Chifley and other Cabinet members tomorrow.
