Practical aid, not charity, is what the Jews of Eastern and Central Europe are asking for, Col. Joseph H. Levey, acting president of the British ORT, said in an address today at a luncheon held in his honor in the Empire State Building. One hundred persons attended the luncheon. B. Charney Vladeck, national chairman of the ORT drive, presided.
