European lawmakers blocked an attempt to suspend a trade agreement between the European Union and Israel. On Thursday, legislators at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France voted by 204-194 to reject a motion renewing an earlier call by the Parliament demanding that the European Union suspend the trade agreement. However, an overwhelming majority of legislators backed a subsequent vote to suspend the agreement if Israel continues its policy of “extrajudicial executions” of Palestinian terrorists.
