Reports here said today that between 30 to 50 European mercenaries, in the service of El Fatah, are now actively recruiting West Germans into the Arab terrorist organization. The mercenaries are training the recruits in Arab states, the reports said, but refuse to go into real action against Israel. It was learned that a majority of the mercenaries formerly served in Biafra.
In another development, the right-wing National Democratic Party (NPD) says it has handed copies of its party platform for the national elections to “certain people” in Washington, London and Paris. Adolf von Thadden, party leader, said in an interview in the magazine Der Spiegel that the purpose of the distribution was to inform these people about the party. Von Thadden said the documents had gone to people “who now sit in the basement of the White House.” In London, Von Thadden said, it went “via a conservative club, and the conservatives certainly took it to the right places. The same applies for Paris.” Von Thadden reported favorable reaction from the recipients.
