Agents employed by former-King Amanullah of Afghanistan arrived here today searching for the daughter of the former monarch who disappeared from Rome after the dismissal of her Jewish tutor, Edward Wollman. So far the search has been unsuccessful.
According to reports, the girl became enamored with Wollman, a Polish Jewish medical student, who was ousted by the Nazis from the University of Berlin. Wollman went to Rome, where he was engaged by the former king to act as tutor.
A Warsaw Jewish daily published the story of the romance between the girl and the young Jewish student. The king immediately denied the reported engagement and declared that his daughter was not old enough to think of marriage.
