A former, non-commissioned SS officer in three concentration camps today confessed voluntarily to the public prosecutor here that he had murdered at least 50 prisoners. He implicated two former SS officers, one of whom now practices medicine in West Berlin.
The man, Gottlieb Muzikant, 55, came to the prosecutor’s office, and declared: “The dead have been weighing upon my conscience. Now I want to make a clean breast of things. ” He then told of killing “more than fifty” persons at Ravensbrueck, Maut-thausen and Melk. He was placed under arrest.
