Ex-premier Karolyi Quits Hungarian Senate over Anti-jewish Bill

Count Karolyi, former Premier of Hungary, has resigned as a member of the Upper House because amendments to the anti-Jewish bill now before it had been rejected. The bill, which would drastically limit Jewish participation in Hungarian cultural and economic life, has been passed by the Lower House.
