An exhibition of paintings on Israel by James N. Rosenberg, noted American Jewish leader, opened today in the Jewish Museum in commemoration of the third anniversary of the establishment of the Jewish state. The exhibition has been arranged by the Jewish Theological Seminary.
Mr. Rosenberg, whose paintings have been accepted by art museums in a number of American cities, visited Israel last winter. His paintings now displayed at the Jewish Museum include “Irrigating the Negev,” In the Hills of Judea,” “Mountains of Galilee” and an unfinished portrait of Premier David Ben Gurion. Mr. Rosenberg’s canvases will remain on exhibition at the Museum throughout May and June.
