An exhibition of native Israeli art began a two-year tour of the United States with a preview at the Baltimore Art Museum last night. Present at the opening were more than 1,000 persons including Arthur Lourie, Israel Ambassador to Canada, who formally inaugurated the exhibition, and Adolph Held, national chairman of the Jewish Labor Committee, who initiated the tour.
Entitled “Forms From Israel, “the exhibit will leave Baltimore next week for showings in Hartford, Conn., Indianapolis and New York. It will wind up on the West Coast. The Israel Government and the American Federation of Arts are sponsoring the traveling show.
