Experts in public relief and private philanthropy will discuss the relationship under the New Deal between private family service and public relief when the United Jewish Aid Societies, sole family welfare agency among the twenty-five constituent organizations of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities, holds its twenty-fourth annual meeting tomorrow (Sunday) night, at the Temple House of Congregation Beth Elohim, Eighth avenue and Garfield place.
Commissioner of Welfare William Hodson, as the leading authority on public relief in this city, Dr. Solomon Lowenstein and Milton Brenner will present varying aspects of the changed relationship between public and private family welfare service that has developed since the broad expansion of municipal, state and federal relief was begun several years ago. Dr. Lowenstein is executive vice-president of the Federation for the Support of Philanthropic Societies.
