A two day conference of the Committee for the Study of the Demography of European Jews decided today to establish a long-range research program, with results to be evaluated at a conference in October 1966.
The committee was established at a conference at the National Center for Higher Jewish Studies held here on “Jewish Life in Contemporary Europe.” Participants included demographic experts from Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia and France.
