Expulsion of Jewish Scientists Was Great Hitler Blunder, Royal Society Head States

One of Hitler’s greatest blunders was throwing into the arms of the Allies many Jewish scientists, some of whom have found an opportunity to continue their work in Palestine. Sir Henry Dale, president of the Royal Society, declared today addressing the annual meeting of the Hebrew University.

Sir Philip Hartog was elected president of the organization. He revealed that groups of professors have been organized at Cambridge and Oxford for the purpose of collaborating with the Hebrew University. Lord Samuel, who was re-elected honorary president, stressed the phenomenal growth of the University despite the difficulties of unrest, finances and the war. He declared that the University is one of the most remarkable achievements of the modern world and particularly praised the Hadassah Hospital.
