The full extent of Japanese dumping in Palestine was revealed today when the Customs Department published in official report for exports and imports for the month of March.
The report reveals that while Japan imported from Palestine only five dollars worth of goods during the month, it dumped goods to the value of £ 82,477 close to half a million dollars, during the some period.
Chrges were made today by the owners of the “Meshi” silk mills, owned by A. S. Sachs of Passaic, New Jersey, which were forced to shut down last week as a result of Japanese dumping, that every type and quality of silk manufactures by local importers, and that huge quantities of silks copied from the Palestine product, were then shipped from Japan to Palestne.
