Dr. Hans Neisser, one of Europe’s ablest economists, has been elected to professorship in the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Neisser was formerly on the faculty of the University of Kiel and left Germany as a result of the recent developments there.
A member of an old German-Jewish family of scholars, Dr. Neisser speaks English fluently and under present plans will conduct two graduate courses at the university. He is the author of a number of notable works among them “The Exchange Value of Money” and “The International Gold Market Before and After the War.” He will begin his work at the university on Friday, the opening of the academic year.
