The United States Government was praised for the aid it has extended to Israel in various forms since the establishment of the Jewish State and was requested to continue such assistance including, grant-in-aid, in a resolution adopted here as the Farband Labor Zionist Order concluded its nineteenth quadrennial convention here last night.
In another resolution the Farband urged that the gates be opened and kept open for Jews wishing to emigrate from countries in the Middle East, including Morocco, and from the Soviet Union. One other resolution enjoined all members and branches of Farband to support and work on behalf of civil rights legislation in the United States including legislation enforcing desegregation of the schools and banning discrimination of all kinds on grounds of race, religion or color.
