Rep. Leonard Farbstein, New York Democrat, told the House of Representatives today that the anti-Jewish developments in Poland were “the most recent manifestation of a Communist line building up since the June war.” He pointed out that Israel defeated not only the Arabs but their Polish Communist supporters.
A member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Rep. Farbstein likened current Polish anti-Semitism to the pogroms of the past in the same country. He said it was an old tactic in Eastern Europe to divert the masses by use of anti-Semitism.
