Rep. Leonard Farbstein, New York Democrat and member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, announced in the House today that he would offer an amendment to the Foreign Aid Bill to deprive Poland of her “most favored nation” status because of its unrelenting Polish anti-Semitism.

Rep. Seymour Halpern, New York Republican, disclosed that he was reviewing “various export licenses issued to Poland, including strategic goods like computers that are used in the munitions industry.” He said that Poland has “not only defied the conscience of civilized humanity in its barbarous revival of anti-Semitism but Polish weapons are being shipped to the Arab states as well as to North Vietnam.” He said “we can dramatize our disgust with the Warsaw Communist regime by terminating the export licenses the Administration has seen fit to issue.”
