Commencing with the new agricultural year next October, the farm settlements in the Emek Israel will begin to repay to the Keren Hayesod the loans granted by it for their farm equipment, it was announced here today.
The first settlement to sign the contract with the Keren Hayesod was the Ain Harod colony, which must repay $300,000 borrowed to settle 120 families. The colony will make its first payment of $7,500.
