Following revelations in the British press of the anti-Semitic utterances by Captain Skeels, leader of the newly formed United British Fascist party, the new political group withdrew his candidacy for a parliament seat in the forthcoming by-election at Cambridge.
The new party declared that it desired no individual controversies on the Jewish question in the by-elections.
Captain Skeels, formerly leader of the Imperial Fascists, is known to be extremely anti-Semitic. He is a close friend of the notorious anti-Semite, Julius Streicher, and has toured Germany with him making anti-Semite speeches.
