A Fascist demonstration marred the premiere last night of Elisabeth Bergner’s film, “Stolen Life,” which raised about $17,000 for the Baldwin Refugee Fund. Following an appeal for contributions by Lord Reading, a number of Fascists showered leaflets on the audience, reading “Mosley and the British Union of Fascists say help the British unemployed, not aliens.” Miss Bergner appeared in person at the performance, which was attended by Lady Baldwin and many other notables.
