Fearing anti-Semitic attacks as the result of the awaited clash between the socialists and the nationalists in a march scheduled for Sunday, October 7, the congregation of the Neustadt Temple announced that no services will be held in the synagogue on Sunday when the final day of Succoth, Simchath Torah, occurs.

By an order of the State Attorney the police today removed a large number of placards of an anti-Jewish inciting character posted in the Vienna streets. The placards were posted under the auspices of the Austrian Hitlerte party in connection with the forthcoming public demonstration on Sunday. Proceedings will be started against those responsible for the pacards, it was stated.
