Racketeering in the New York live poultry industry is under investigation by the Department of Justice, it was learned today.
The investigation is said to involve a number of live poultry dealers and others engaged in the industry who have allegedly violated the code which has been in effect since spring. Complaints of code violations have been turned over to the Department of Justice by the Agricultural Adjustment Administration, under whose jurisdiction the code was written.
