A ruling handed down by Federal Judge Arthur J. Tuttle will be a great help to aliens who leave on visits to their former homelands and who on their return seek to become citizens.
According to Judge Tuttle’s ruling, aliens who visit their homelands for a period of more than six months but less than a year will be enabled hereafter to complete their petitions for citizenship by producing in Naturalization Court testimonials as to their good character abroad.
These testimonials must be made by magistrates or other officials where aliens visited while abroad or by at least two responsible citizens of the foreign cities.
