With the tenth annual dinner and ball of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities one month away, more than 1,000 reservations are still available for the affair, to be held at the Hotel St. George on the evening of November 18, it was announced yesterday by Harry Zeitz, chairman of the dinner and ball.
The committee of 350 workers has brought in only a few more than 600 reservations, Zeitz declared. Reservations are $100 a couple.
Members of the bench, including magistrates, city and county judges, justices of the supreme court, and Judge Edward Lazansky, chief justice of the Appellate Division, are on the committee. Special divisions have been organized by the Junior Federation and the women’s division.
Milton Pariser, president of the Junior Federation, appointed Samuel Weinberg chairman of his committee. To date Weinberg has reported more than fifty reservations. Mrs. William Linder, dinner and ball chairman of the women’s division, appointed by Mrs. Clarence G. Bachrach, has reported twenty-five reservations.
A drive to obtain reservations from Brooklynites in the education profession will be made this year, Zeitz announced, through the formation of a special division, headed by Dr. Maxwell Ross of 1821 St. Johns place, Brownsville, a member of the Forty-second District School Board.
