The 22nd General Assembly of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds will take place in Cleveland, it was announced here today by Julian Freeman, president of the CJFWF. It will open on November 20.
Mr. Freeman also announced that the first presentation of the William J. Shroder Memorial Award, established by the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds for “outstanding contributions” to communal welfare by an organization under Jewish auspices, will be made at the General Assembly. The award will be presented in the form of planques and citations to an organization in a community with over 20, 000 Jewish population, and one in a smaller Jewish community.
