A Westchester fete for workers of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies was held yesterday at the Century Country Club, Anderson Hill road, White Plains. The event is an annual activity of the women’s division of which Mrs. Sidney C. Borg is chairman. Proceeds of more than $6,000 will be used to help support the work of the ninety-one welfare agencies affiliated with Federation.
Mrs. Lewis M. Bloomingdale, of Scarsdale, Mrs. Edwin A. Gruntal of Hartsdale and Mrs. Richard P. Limburg of Bedford were in charge of the fete, which included golf and tennis tournaments, water sports for children, cards, fashion show and buffet dinner dance.
Among the hostesses were Mmes. Julius Ochs Adler, Joseph Brettauer, Alfred A. Cook, Abram I. Elkus, Albert J. Erdmann, Allie S. Freed, Henry S. Glazier, Isaac Kubie, Solomon Lowenstein, Alexander J. Marcuse, Joseph M. Proskauer, Dudley D. Sicher, Ira J. Sobol, Irwin Untermyer, Joseph Stroock and Felix M. Warburg.
