Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs Holds Four-day Parley; Discusses American Jewish Life

The 1950 convention of the National Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs and the National Laymen’s Institute concluded here last night after 300 delegates representing 20,000 members in the Conservative movement discussed the questions of “A Pattern for American Jewish Life” and “Israel and the American Synagogue.”

Alan Stroock, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Theological Seminary, was presented with the National Award of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs. Dr. Milton Nevins, of Philadelphia, was elected president of the Federation, while Bernard Lieberman, also of Philadelphia, was named honorary president.
