The Federation of Jewish Philanthropies began drive here over the week-end to contact 50,000 employers in business, industry and professions in t he metropolitan area to find employment for middle aged and older persons.
Representatives of the Federation Employment Service, an affiliate of the U.P., said it would ask local industrialists and business men to study their organizations to determine whether jobs could be made available to persons over 45 years of age. The will urge employers to try and find new positions within their organizations for older persons who cannot work at their original tasks, rather than ##miss them.
