An appeal to President Truman, the Secretary of State and the Immigration Department, asking utilization of unfilled immigration quotas for the admittance of displaced persons will be sent by the Federation of Jewish Women’s Organizations, in accordance with a resolution adopted yesterday by the 27th annual convention of the group, attended by 1,700 delegates.
The convention also went on record as approving establishment by New York State of a state-sponsored university which would bar discrimination against students applying for admission to graduate and under-graduate schools.
