The problem of what the tired working girl with very little money will do for a vacation is partially solved with the announcement yesterday by the Federation for Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies in New York of the opening of registrations for vacations at the summer homes of the Jewish Working Girls’ Vacation Society.
Jewish working girls will have a choice between vacationing in the seaside surroundings of Bay House, Bellport, Long Island, and the mountain scenery of Lehman House, Big Indian, New York. A continuous round of sports and entertainment is planned for the girls each day, but participation is purely optional.
Registration offices are open at Federation Building, 71 West Forty-seventh street, Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 to 7:00 during June and July and on Thursdays from 5:00 to 7:00 during August, or at the Educational Alliance, 197 East Broadway, on Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 12:00 during June and July.
