An appeal to the Jews of New York City to mark the traditional solemnity of the Jewish New Year, which begins next Friday, by giving generous aid to the Jews of Germany and the refugees was issued today by Felix M. Warburg, national chairman of the United Jewish Appeal, who pointed out that New Yorkers’ contributions to the German Jewish relief cause could be made by supporting the theatrical program, “Night of Stars,” which will be presented at Madison Square Garden on October 2nd.

“While Jews in Germany are bowed down under an unbearable load,” Mr. Warburg declared in his statement, “and while the Jews of Poland, Rumania, Austria, Hungary and other lands are being driven to a slow but nevertheless inevitable destruction, we cannot, either as Jews or human beings, divorce ourselves from their fate.”
