Felix M. Warburg, honorary chairman of the American Representatives of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, will address the thirty-seventh annual convention of the Zionist Organization of America, to be held in Atlantic City, N. J., on June 30, it was announced here.
One of the problems facing convention is consideration of the future program of the Zionist Organization. An increased participation in Jewish communal affairs is planned. Speakers will include Louis Lipsky, member of the Executive of the Jewish Agency; Abraham Goldberg, Jacob Fishman, Dr. Samuel Margoshes, Israel Chipkin, A. H. Friedland, Rabbi Milton Steinberg, Charles Cowen, Dr. Solomon Goldman. Ludwig Lewisohn, author, will speak on the “Re-Emancipation of the Jewish People.”
Dr. Stephen S. Wise, honorary president of the American Jewish Congress, will speak on “The Menace of Nazism.”
A symposium will be held on “The Party Struggle in Zionism.” The so-called “Labor” and “National-Labor” points of view will be represented in the debate.
Among those who will talk in this connection are Rabbi Edward L. Israel, chairman of the Social Justice Commission of the Central Conference of American Rabbis; Jacob Fishman, managing editor of the Jewish Morning Journal; Jacob de Haas, former secretary of the Zionist Organization of America, and Rabbi Louis I. Newman and Robert Szold, former chairman of the Zionist Organization.
A general survey of Zionist affairs will be delivered by Morris Rothenberg, president of the Zionist Organization of America. Another outstanding Zionist who will address the Convention is Maurice Samuel, orator and publicist.
