Local authorities today refused to grant a permit for the showing of the movie “Jew Suss.” They declared that the time is inopportune for an-exhibition of the film, since it might serve to incite anti-Semitic elements in Vienna.

The film, based upon Lion Feuchtwanger’s historical novel, “Power,” had been especially rearranged for a Vienna showing.
