Lion Feuchtwanger’s novel “Jud Suss”, published in the United States under the title “Power” will be made into a moving picture, it was learned today when it was announced that a company to produce the powerful novel on the screen had been formed.
It was learned that the author received the amount of $40,000 for the screen rights.
The novel was hailed in Europe and America as an outstanding event in the world of letters, depicting Jewish life in Germany in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. It is rich in dramatic conflict.
