Fifteen elderly Jewish men and women from Czernowitz arrived in Tel Aviv by air yesterday to be re-united with sons and daughters they had not seen for years it was reported here today by the London press.

For years the report says they had persistently written to Marshal Stalin, Marshal Voroshilov and later Premier Malenkov, asking permission to join their families in Israel. Nothing happened until last Saturday when police in Czernovitz called them in and collected their photographs. “Two days later they were called again and handed their passports, exit permits, transit visas and Israel destination visas, all arranged in Moscow the day before. In three hours they had sold their belongings and took the train to Vienna” from where they flew the report concludes.
