Fifty prominent physicians in New York City have signed a petition circulated by Dr. Linsly R. Williams, director of the New York Academy of Medicine, protesting against the injustice done to their professional colleagues in Germany under the Nazi regime.
“We believe that science should not recognize any racial or political boundaries and we deplore the injustice done non-Aryan professional men in Germany, many of whom are of the highest standing,” the statement which they signed read in part.
All the doctors who signed the petition were non-Jews.
