The fight on anti-Semitism has become a campaign issue in the Soviet elections which are now taking place in White Russian towns and villages.
“Communists, fight ignorance, alcoholism and anti-Semitism.” reads a poster placarded in the streets of Bobruisk. The Communist press devotes much space to the anti-Semitism issue. Similar propaganda is broadcast in other White Russian towns.
Soviet leaders, newspaper editors and Jewish leaders in White Russia are in agreement that anti-Semitism in the district of Bobruisk is on the increase, especially in the factories. The leading source of the anti-Semitic propaganda is the glass factories, where, it is stated, it is being instigated by the Polish master workers, who have been intrenched in the industry for decades and who resent the entrance of Jews.
