The number of Jews in the world at the end of 1964 was 13,121,000, according to figures released here today by Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics.
Of the total Jewish population, 16 percent, or 2,239,000, live in Israel, which had a total population of 2,525,600 at the end of last year, the figures showed, The Bureau of Statistics report also showed that one-third of the Jewish population of Israel was under 14 years of age.
