Filming began in Slovakia for “Uprising,” a story about the lives of Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II, the Associated Press reported. Sets representing the Polish city were built in Bratislava’s old town, and the ghetto was built near the Danube River. Some 6,500 extras were hired for the movie, which stars Donald Sutherland and David Schwimmer.
