Filmmakers working on a documentary on bar and bat mitzvahs are looking for videotape submissions. The project grew out of “Bar Mitzvah Disco,” a book cataloging bar mitzvah pictures, stories and memorabilia from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. The spinoff film — titled “Bar Mitzvah Disco: The Video” — is supported by American Apparel, an L.A.-based clothing store and manufacturer.
