Rabbi David Max Eicbhorn, in his sermon at the annual children’s service at Sinai Temple, scored motion picture producers for films which degrade the mind rather than elevate it. News films and features alike are glorifying militarism, he declared.

He characterized “Thunder Over Mexico” as propaganda of the right sort and “The House of Rothschild” as the wrong kind by delegating to the Jew a “dominance in the financial markets of the world which he does not posscess.”

A motion picture about the life of Spinoza or Einstein would do the Jews more good than one about Nathan Rothschild, he declared.

Prizes for attendance were awarded to Girard and Herbert Sillman by President Harry Danziger.
